Vin Diesel’s “Fast X” trailer out

Ahead of the movie’s May release, the second trailer for Vin Diesel’s Fast X has been released. The film is the first installment in the Fast and Furious franchise’s two-part climax. This time, the major antagonist who threatens Dominic Toretto, played by Diesel, is Jason Momoa.

Similar to the first trailer, this one also has some extravagant action set pieces. Dante, played by Momoa, intends to blow up the Vatican City in vengeance on Dominic for the murder of his father. He is Hernan Reyes of Fast Five’s son.

The movie, which is directed by Louis Leterrier, also features Michelle Rodriguez, John Cena, Jason Statham, Helen Mirren, and other series stalwarts. Brie Larson and Charlize Theorn have been added to the cast.

As Justin Lin, who had directed the third, fourth, fifth, sixth, and ninth films, departed the tenth picture in the middle of production, Fast X had several delays. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the filmmaker left the movie as a result of certain differences with Vin Diesel. “Justin finally had enough and said, ‘This movie is not worth my mental health,'” the newspaper cited a source as saying. However, Universal insisted that Diesel was unrelated to the disputes. An excerpt from Universal’s statement said, “Any creative differences leading to Justin Lin’s exit were with the studio, not with fellow producers, cast, or crew.”
